Safety and Health Coordinator / SiGeKo (m/f/d)
Focus on Civil Engineering / Energy Plant Construction – Nationwide, Remote, Full-Time
Are you familiar with construction sites where there’s not just a scaffolding structure, but where excavators are rolling around, pipes are being laid, cable trenches are being dug, transformer stations are being installed, and multiple trades are working simultaneously to successfully complete their part of the project?
Then we're looking for you.
Semper Fidus GmbH stands for practical occupational safety, clear communication, and solutions that work on real construction sites. For civil engineering and power plant construction projects, we are looking for a Safety and Health Coordinator (SiGeKo) (m/f/d) who understands complex construction processes, identifies risks early on, and views occupational safety not as a collection of forms but as an active coordination task.
Your Task
You will be responsible for coordinating safety and health protection for construction projects in the fields of civil engineering, energy infrastructure, and plant construction. In this role, you will oversee projects from the planning phase through to completion and ensure that safety, health protection, and practical feasibility are effectively integrated.
You work primarily remotely: coordination, documentation, plan review, meeting preparation, and communication are all handled digitally and flexibly. You’ll travel throughout Germany for site visits, inspections, and project meetings.
And yes: We'll see each other in person for that after-work barbecue—if you'd like.
What You'll Be Doing Here
- Coordination in Accordance with the Construction Site Regulation During the Planning and Construction Phases
- Preparation, updating, and maintenance of health and safety plans
- Assistance with advance notices and documentation for future work
- Review of construction processes, schedules, and interfaces from an occupational safety and health perspective
- Coordination with building owners, project managers, site managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Conducting site inspections and safety briefings
- Identifying and Assessing Specific Hazards, Particularly in Civil Engineering and Power Plant Construction
- Documentation of Findings, Actions, and Coordination
- Support for practical solutions when theory meets the reality of the construction site
What You Should Bring
You don't have to have seen everything. But you should know how construction sites work.
What matters to us:
- Certification as a Safety and Health Coordinator (SiGeKo) in accordance with the Construction Site Regulation (BaustellV) and RAB 30
- Experience in civil engineering, pipeline construction, underground cable installation, power plant construction, or similar infrastructure projects
- Understanding of construction processes, interfaces between trades, and typical hazards on construction sites
- Confident demeanor when dealing with building owners, project managers, site managers, and contractors
- A structured approach to work and thorough documentation
- Ability to clearly address risks without making things unnecessarily complicated
- Willingness to travel for construction site appointments throughout Germany
- Class B Driver's License
Experience with projects involving substations, transformer stations, cable routes, grid expansion, renewable energy, industrial facilities, or municipal infrastructure is also a plus.
What You Can Expect From Us
With us, you won't find a job where you just check items off a checklist. You'll work independently, flexibly, and have a direct impact on the safety of challenging construction projects.
We offer you:
- 100% remote work with flexible hours
- Performance-Based Compensation
- Company Car for Personal Use
- Nationwide civil engineering and power plant construction projects
- Full-time position with long-term prospects
- A lot of personal responsibility instead of micromanagement
- quick decision-making processes
- modern digital work methods
- professional exchange among peers
- a work environment where pragmatic solutions matter
- Face-to-face meetings when they make sense—anything but a 9-to-5 job at the office.
We are not looking for a SiGeKo who only handles paperwork.
We’re looking for someone who understands that safety on construction sites comes from coordination, communication, and technical expertise. Someone who can read blueprints, question construction processes, identify critical points of interaction, and stay calm even when things aren’t going according to plan on site.
In short: We're looking for someone who knows occupational safety—and understands construction sites.
Apply
If you're interested in making challenging civil engineering and energy plant construction projects safer, we look forward to receiving your application.
Just send us your resume and a few sentences describing your experience in the fields of safety and health coordination, civil engineering, or power plant construction. We'll discuss the rest in person.
